Hello World!

My name is Emily Flood (hence the title!) and I am a college student who loves to travel, and am constantly searching for opportunities that will allow me to do so. In my spare time, I enjoy reading travel blogs, reading books about other countries, and daydreaming about the places I’ve visited and the places I have left to visit.

As of right now I’ve been to 3 continents and 6 countries:

• The United States (I live there!)
• Canada
• France
• Spain
• Switzerland
• Turkey

I consider myself fluent in two languages (English and French) and am learning Japanese (日本語) at my university. In reality, I just want to learn them all!

I was planning on starting this blog a bit later during the summer, because I will be fortunate enough to study abroad in Paris all next year! However, I spent the last week on a class research trip to Turkey and I simply cannot find the right spoken words to describe the experience to my friends.

Therefore, I invite you to journey with me, as I use this blog as a means to comprehend and share all of the serendipitous experiences I have had and will have across this amazing planet we call home.
